COLLECTIVE SELF-CONSUMPTION OF 7 BUILDINGS: SAN JOSÉ ASSOCIATION IN GUADIX, GRANADA
Bettergy has been in charge of carrying out the installation of Collective Self-consumption in 2 Producer Buildings and 7 Consumer Buildings in the San José Association.
The Asociación en Favor de las Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual (Asociación San José), started its activity in March 1973 with a mission:
To improve the quality of life of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families, considering primarily and individually the achievement of their happiness, providing effective resources and personalized support with the guarantee of the exercise of their rights and the fulfillment of their duties.
Bettergy monitors the energy consumption of all centers, analyzes consumption data and continuously improves through its EnergySequence platform, this has allowed the development of an Energy Audit model to comply with RD 56/2016, has been implementing different energy efficiency measures and as a last measure, we developed a model of collective self-consumption, also digitally controlled to optimize energy distributions between centers according to their consumptions.
The project aims to improve the facilities to increase energy savings and efficiency through collective energy self-consumption from renewable energy sources.
The installation is subdivided into several actions, which are indicated below:
- Action I: Solar photovoltaic installation at Centro Miguel Ángel Carmona. Collective self-consumption, with a power of 54.0 kWp (Camino raya hita 7 – residence, Miguel Ángel Carmona, Guadix).
- Action II: Solar photovoltaic installation in Colegio de N.S de la Esperanza. Collective self-consumption, with a power of 45.9 kWp (Barrio colmenar colegio, N.S. de la Esperanza, Guadix, Granada).
Edificio Miguel Ángel Carmona
Colegio N. S. de la Esperanza
Based on the data and indications received, the roof of the San José association and the roof of the Colegio de N.S de la Esperanza area have been selected for the installation of the project. The roofs of both buildings have a suitable orientation and inclination to house the solar photovoltaic installation to be executed.
This installation will consist of 185 photovoltaic modules of monocrystalline silicon cells, JA SOLAR JAM72S30 540/MR, with a maximum unit power of 540Wp.
The generation will be produced by connecting the modules to 2 inverters. In order to be able to track the PV generation, each inverter has its own integrated monitoring system, which allows to observe the generation in real time through the Fusion Solar-Huawei platform.
As main advantages, the Association, thanks to Bettergy’s performance, has all consumption digitized and analyzed continuously, with the possibility of detecting operational measures at no cost to the customer and other measures that require investment.
What advantages will the Photovoltaic Installation have for the Association?
- Partial change in the energy source of Asociación San José towards a renewable, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy.
- Savings, from the moment of installation, in the electricity bill and control over the electrical performance of the installation.
- Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, limiting the carbon footprint.
- Reinforcement of the image of Asociación San José, with a visible and innovative performance, differentiating itself as an entity committed to sustainable development and climate change.
This project has the following savings data:
- Annual Production: 150.8 MWh/year.
- Degree of self-consumption: 87.68%.
- CO₂ reduction: 30 t/year.
- Solar Radiation Level: 716 kWh/kWp.
