Strategic Action for the Digital Economy and Society (AEESD)

The Digital Economy and Society Strategic Action (AEESD), within the Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Plan 2013-2016 promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, aims to:

Boost the Information Society and Communication Technologies (ICT), by funding projects related to industries of the future, ICT solutions, e-government, environmental management applications and digital content.

“Improving a company’s innovation capabilities is the most effective way to increase its profitability and boost its growth.”

This is a Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) aims to strengthen socio-economic cohesion within the European Union by correcting imbalances between its regions.

Eighty percent of the funds are concentrated in the four priority areas:

  • Innovation and research
  • Digital program
  • Support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Low-carbon economy
