The World Bank, the leading multinational organization specializing in finance and aid, has awarded the “Public Building as Renewable Energy Power Grid” contract in Indonesia to Bettergy.
In this 18-month contract, Bettergy will work to support the implementation and mass deployment of solar distributed generation, as well as the development of Energy Services models with ESCO-type contracts, in Indonesia, set to be one of the next world powers thanks to its population.
Bettergy presents for this work the use of the digital tool Solar Mapper, based on the company’s developments in Artificial Intelligence through its data analysis platform EnergySequence, and will develop mechanisms for the implementation of smart metering and business models for solar self-consumption, working with the state-owned power utility PT PLN. The study will consider aspects such as:
- Distributed Generation market analysis.
- Analysis of smart metering capacity.
- Legal framework for PPPs.
- Roadmap for the implementation of business models for the deployment of solar self-consumption.
- Recommendations on Policies and Strategies for the deployment of Distributed Generation.
- Pilot Project
The scope includes the dissemination of the information obtained and the results of the work through different seminars.
Bettergy will carry out a comprehensive analysis of the current situation in Indonesia in order to execute the distributed generation roadmap.
Among many other aspects, this union will achieve an initial basis for the future implementation of projects related to Energy Efficiency and Distributed Generation.
After the work carried out in recent years in Europe and Latin America, and thanks to its experience, Bettergy takes a leap forward with the aim of putting its experience at the service of the development of energy efficiency and distributed generation in one of the main countries in Asia.
