SI-TAG PROJECT Integral solution for end-to-end traceability of elements

The Si-Tag Project is based on the development of an Integral Solution for the traceability of elements from their manufacture to their subsequent recycling, favoring the circular economy.

The 4th Industrial Revolution or also called 4.0 is driven by the enabling technologies of the hybridization between the physical and digital world. In such a way that this connectivity facilitates collaboration between devices and systems creating an intelligent industry.

Meaning a qualitative leap in the organization and management of the sector’s value chain.

This is the case of this project, the SI-TAG PROJECT, which aims to improve communication between the different actors involved in production systems and their final consumers, optimizing the flow of information during the life cycle of products.

The AEI Strategic Plan of the Andalucía Smart City Cluster aims to help companies to promote the business associated with the smart cities industry.

With special emphasis on technological innovation as an instrument for the creation of added value and qualified employment in our country.

It is a project designed to be developed in different pillars: Energy, Transport and Mobility, Environment, and Information and Communication Technologies – ICT.

OBJECTIVES

  • Facilitate the monitoring and management of products throughout their life cycle.
  • Improve processes and services associated with products and assets based on their traceability.
  • Facilitate the management of information and communication between different organizations linked to the efficient management of infrastructures and facilities.
  • Solution applicable to both industries and smart cities.
  • Increase of information to the final customer.
  • Standardization of the process of integration of information related to physical objects both at city and industrial level.
  • Labeling system for products, equipment or elements in general to obtain updated information.

LINES OF ACTION

  • Creation of smart cities through the optimization of costs and improvement of the management of the smart assets of a city.
  • Generate employment and wealth in the urban fabric.
  • Innovation to provide an effective response to the objectives pursued.

Project of horizontal application to the Smartcities sector, and multisectoral from the point of view of the industry.

RESULTS

  • Improved added value of the solutions/products/services of the cluster members.
  • Higher conversion ratios in terms of sales for the Cluster’s member companies, with the consequent improvement of business competitiveness.
  • Integration of different work disciplines in order to provide the market with the appropriate infrastructure and tools.

Currently there are labeling systems used as an input for vertical applications, mainly used in public lighting installations with tele-management technologies, verifying the benefits of this approach:

  • Sinapse, as manufacturer.
  • Bettergy in the production process.
  • Municipalities as managers in the exploitation of the solution.
