DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNICATION PLATFORM FOR THE USE OF THE ELECTRIC SCOOTER AS AN ELEMENT OF INFORMATION COLLECTION IN SMART CITIES.
ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL MOBILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL AND NOISE POLLUTION.
The electric vehicle represents an excellent opportunity for improving energy efficiency and reducing dependence on oil in the transport sector, as well as for improving air quality in Spanish cities.
In Spain, there is currently a consensus and commitment of the Public Administrations, companies and entities of the different sectors involved in the promotion and support for the implementation of the electric vehicle, which has been embodied in the approval by the Government of Spain.
Objectives of the Project:
- Facilitate the integration of the electric vehicle in smart cities.
- Develop a new concept of electric vehicle scooter type.
- To provide a tool to manage fleets of electric scooter-type vehicles.
- To provide a system for collecting information to assess the level of comfort of citizens in terms of environmental and noise pollution.
- To help the user to carry out an efficient and optimal battery recharging.
- Collaborate in the development of a low carbon economy.
SCOOTCITY: Smart mobility project smartcity
The ScootCity project is made up of the business triangle of electric vehicles, monitoring platforms and manager for all the data.
And these are the companies: the Malaga company Bettergy, the Cadiz company Numenti and the electric vehicle manufacturer Torrot Electric.
The project is currently in the pilot phase, in which two electric scooters have been given to the local police. The main objective in this phase is that the authorities make regular use of these vehicles; the difference is that these have two integrated sensors; one to measure air quality and another to measure noise pollution.
The period in which the City Council of Malaga will have these vehicles at its disposal is six months in which it will be able to use the data obtained to improve the levels of pollution in the city.
