Matadero Orihuela S.A. was founded in 1997 with the aim of filling the gap left by the mandatory closure of municipal slaughterhouses that could not comply with the reforms imposed by the laws. It is the only slaughterhouse in Alicante and Murcia with a certified laboratory for the analysis of porcine trichina, highlighting the quality of its facilities and its commitment to providing the best service and quality.
Matadero Orihuela continues to take action to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and therefore relies on Bettergy to improve the energy efficiency of its facilities.
Bettergy, as a company specialized in engineering services, consulting, implementation of energy-saving measures (MAEs), and energy management, has carried out the engineering, management, and certification work for CAEs, proposing the implementation of an Air Compressor Replacement action.
This improvement is a standardized measure within the Industrial Sector with reference sheet IND090. This measure enables the optimization of energy consumption, achieving greater efficiency by reducing consumption while increasing flow.
Matadero Orihuela will achieve an annual final energy savings of 524MWh in its facilities. The new compressor equipment has a power of 22kW and a working pressure of 7 bar.
